Priests’ Christmas Collection: At all Christmas Masses for the Priests of the Parish.
PENITENTIAL SERVICE: Wednesday 20th December at 7.30pm in St. Brigid’s Church.
FAMILY ADVENT CANDLES AND PRAYERS: We invite each family to take home an Advent candle and prayer, so that as a parish we become united as we pray it each night of Advent. Candles and prayers will be available in each church. You may give a donation towards candle if you wish.
CHRISTMAS REMEMBRANCE TREE: Please take a candle from the box and place in the basket provided. The candles will be placed on the tree for you and lite on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day mass in remembrance of your loved ones. You can leave a small donation if you wish in the candelabra.
PONSETTIAS: In remembrance of our loved ones this Christmas, you are welcome to leave one on the Altar of your church.
ADVENT FAMILY PRAYER. God of Love, your son, Jesus, is your greatest gift to us. He is a sign of your love. As we light our Advent candle may it remind us of the love you have for us. Help us to walk in love during these weeks of Advent, as CHURCH GATE COLLECTION: Annual Christmas Church gate collection for Dundalk Simon Community will be held in all churches on 16th & 17th December.
COMMUNION: Will be brought to the sick & housebound on Friday 22nd December. If anyone would like a visit, please contact the parochial House.
We wait and prepare for his coming. We pray in the name of Jesus our Saviour. BAMBINELLI SUNDAY: This weekend we blessed the baby Jesus figurine, bring it home, wrapped in a gift box and placed under the Christmas tree. On Christmas morning this is the first gift the family opens together. They then place the baby into the crib in their home.
SENIOR CITEZENS LUNCH: Roche Emmets GFC are hosting their Senior Citizens Lunch on Saturday 30th December at 12.30pm. Let your parents, grandparents, friends and elderly neighbours and past members know about this event. Please book your place before 20th December 2023 by emailing secretary.rocheemmets.louth@gaa.ie or phone/message 086-8711190. Limited places available. All volunteers welcome to help in preparations and on the day.
