NEXT WEEKEND: (Bambinelli Sunday) families are invited to bring their baby Jesus from the crib to Mass with them to be blessed. The figurine can be bought home and wrapped in a gift box and placed under the Christmas tree. On Christmas morning this is the first gift the family opens together. They then place the baby into the crib in their home.
FAMILY ADVENT CANDLES AND PRAYERS: We invite each family to take home an Advent candle and prayer, so that as a parish we become united as we pray it each night of Advent. Candles and prayers will be available in each church. You may give a donation towards candle if you wish.
CHRISTMAS REMEMBRANCE TREE: We will have the Christmas Remembrance Tree in St. Brigid’s church next week Please take a candle from the box and place in the basket provided. The candles will be placed on the tree for you and lite on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day mass in remembrance of your loved ones. You can leave a small donation if you wish in the candelabra.
PONSETTIAS: In remembrance of our loved ones this Christmas, you are welcome to leave one on the Altar of your church.
ADVENT FAMILY PRAYER. God of Love, your son, Jesus, is your greatest gift to us. He is a sign of your love. As we light our Advent candle may it remind us of the love you have for us. Help us to walk in love during these weeks of Advent, as we wait and prepare for his coming. We pray in the name of Jesus our Saviour.
